#TBT timehopping

Have you heard of the timehop app?  It's a fun little way to be reminded of what you were doing and posted 1, 2, 3 or more years ago.

Some days the hops are really funny and honestly, some of the posts are probably ones I would rather have forgotten about.  These three posts occurred exactly one year ago yesterday.

This is one I'd like to forget.
Trying to come back from my stress reaction/fx 2 years ago.
I feel like I'm going through this all over again.

3 years ago I was coming home from Fitbloggin!
That was one of the best weekends ever and I can't wait
to get to Savannah this year.

This one cracked me up. That's my girl in the tiedye passed out
in a hotel hallway with 3 of her gymnastic teammates after a meet.
I miss her competing in gymnatics and can't believe it's been 4 years since she quit
to pursue high school sports.
So, a bit of nostalgia thanks to timehop.  Do you have timehop?  What's been your favorite "hop"?

Easy Canvas Prints: review and #giveaway

Canvas
Photo on Canvas

I'm super excited to share this product with you!  A while back, I was asked if I'd like to review a canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints.  The timing was perfect because I wanted a new picture of my twins (they were turning 16) and M and D had just gotten back from a hiking trip up north.  I had lots of pictures to choose from. I might have a problem with the number of pictures just sitting in my phone.

The process is super easy.  You just upload your picture to their website (they can even do Instagrams), select the options you want, and in about 2 weeks (it was actually faster than this for mine) you get a beautiful print nice enough to hang on the wall or display however you like.  I think my prints turned out beautifully.  The camping picture has black around the edge of the frame while the one of the twins has the edges of the photo around the sides (they are wrapped canvases).  It was nice to have this option because the picture of all the guys was too close to the edge to wrap. The only thing I didn't think to do was add a stand (the print comes with hooks for hanging).  I thought the picture would stay upright on its own but it really doesn't.  Right now they are propped up in the bookcase.
Photo really doesn't do the canvases justice.

Want to win one of your own?  Just enter the required info into rafflecopter (you can enter multiple times!) and you may be the lucky owner of your own 8x10 canvas!  The contest will run from 8/23/13 to 9/6/13 and is open to residents of North America. I am not responsible for shipping of your prize or anything like that - all will come from Easy Canvas Prints.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

*fine print* I was provided with 2 canvases for review but the opinions are all my own.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Easy Canvas Prints also recommends the following (I have not seen these products myself).

Bumper Sticker Maker
Vinyl Banners custom shirts
Custom T-Shirts

What summer memory would you like to put on a canvas?  Leave me a comment and let me know!

Thankful Thursday: Race Photos

Today I'm thankful there were a couple pictures from last weekend's triathlon that didn't completely suck. I need help deciding which to buy.

Which do you think is better? Sadly there were no pics of me on the bike & the swim pics induced vomiting (not really but yuck - definitely not something I'd spend money on).

Semi-Wordless Wonderful Wednesday

A few scenes from the week that made me smile

Brunch with these awesome ladies after they rocked a TOUGH 10 mile race.

Coping with my HAWT scooter and some yummy beer.

 My girl taking 2nd with a PR jump of 14' 5 1/2 " yesterday
(this pic was from a different meet because I wasn't there last night)

Wearing a dress to work today and feeling pretty damn cute in it.

Swimming 1/2 a mile yesterday (800 meters) and feeling good today!

What has made you smile this week?

LLRB 365: 2012 Weeks 13 & 14

Since we were on vacation this week and I didn't get last week's photo post done, I'm combining these 2 weeks.  Enjoy :)
Sunday
3-25-12
Happy 70's birthday to M's mom!

Monday
3-26-12
Went to an Oberon release party - this was taken at midnight Monday morning :)

Tuesday
3-27-12
Sometimes a little Sbux for lunch just makes the day better.

Wednesday
3-28-12
Beautiful sky on the way home from running kids around.

Thursday
3-29-12
Gotta love slave labor :)

Friday
3-30-12
Our drive to TN got interesting when the Garmin took us down a single lane road in podunk, OH.  We were pretty sure we weren't on I-75.  The goats were of no help, either.

Saturday
3-31-12
Three runners at the Knoxville Marathon Expo!

Monday
4-1-12
My girl finishing her first official 5k! (My half marathon pictures weren't nearly as cute - but I finished.)

Monday
4-2-12
We spent the day exploring Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Tuesday
4-3-12
Made it down to Asheville, NC and lunch was some yummy NC BBQ.

Wednesday
4-4-12
Beautiful waterfall on the Biltmore Estate.

Thursday
4-5-12
Driving from Asheville to Louisville, KY we found the Woodford Reserve Distillery (official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby).

Friday
4-6-12
Before driving home, we hit up the Louisville Slugger factory.

Saturday
4-7-12
Back to reality with meal planning while icing my shins.

Since the past week was our spring break, and we managed to cram in a visit to Brooke, a race, horseback riding and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, a visit to Jaime, multiple Asheville brewery stops, Biltmore Estate and wine tasting, a distillery, underground ziplining (a must-do if you are ever in Louisville), the Louisville Slugger factory and museum, and dinner with Ali on the way home, choosing just one picture a day was very difficult.  Each of those events could have been it's own blog post :)

Did you take any spring break trips this year?  If not, what was your favorite spring break memory?

LLRB 365: 2012 Week 8

Either my girlfriend's son has really huge feet, or I have really tiny ones!

Wednesday
2-22-12
In an effort to get in more protein as I start on my IronSisters New Rules of Lifting For Women workouts, I discovered this at Costco.  Not bad mixed with a banana and frozen berries.

Thursday
2-23-12
Finally bought some decent headphones.  They stayed in great with all my upsidedown yoga crap I did today (but I still have a hard time actually getting them IN my ears).

Friday
2-24-12
A wintery blast reminded me that I really do live in a snow globe for part of the year.

Saturday

The start of a great weekend with friends.

LLRB 365: 2012 Week 7

Here we are nearing the end of February and there is practically no snow on the ground not that I'm complaining or anything.  It's really unheard of.  I could go check a bunch of weather sites and see when the last time it was we had such a mild winter, but I really don't care.  I just hope the trend continues.
Sunday
2-12-12
Headed to HopCat for some dinner and brews.  Got a pretty light show, too, with the neon and a firetruck outside.

Monday
2-13-12
Siri decided to take the night off.

Tuesday
2-14-12
Happy Valentine's Day - I had the flu and stayed home from school, but still managed to eat some Baked Hot Chocolate!

Wednesday
2-15-12
Felt a bit better so I went for a crazy 3 mile run, but didn't want to get too far from home *just in case*

Thursday
2-16-12
Still not feeling 100% - this has been my lunch for the past 2 days.

Friday
2-17-12
First day of our 4-day weekend.  Took the kids to a great hot dog place for lunch & they spent most of the time doing this (and they were FREE!):

Saturday
2-18-12
Went to the Grand Rapids Griffins #purplegame - a fundraiser for cancer research and the Van Andel Institute.  We had awesome seats and it was a lot of fun, even though we lost.

Anything fun going on in your neck of the woods?

Happy palindrome day. I celebrated with a cuppa.
