Some Monday Inspiration

My Dad is probably going to kill me for doing this (actually, he won't because he loves me unconditionally-it's his job-but I really hope he isn't mad at me for sharing this).  Every Monday, he sends my sister and me an email letting us know how his weigh-in went that morning.

This was today's email:

Good morning girls,

Last week, 252, a 3 pound gain over Christmas
This week, 246, a 6 pound loss! Losing the 3 pounds I gained plus 3 more. Whoooooooopie!
That's 113 pounds overall and a new all time low.

I start my 6 weekly sessions with the trainer today, working on cardio and strength. I'm really looking forward to it. I envisioned all week that he is going to be like Bob Harper on The Biggest Loser. But, I think he will be gentle on me. He knows my limits.

Love you guys and have a good week.

Dad.

I can't even begin to express how proud I am of my Dad.  He is 71 years old and his hips and knees are shot but he's lost 113 pounds!!!!!

I didn't write this post to embarrass Dad (I really hope he isn't embarrassed).  I wrote this post to tell anyone who thinks they can't lose weight and get in shape that they are wrong.

You can do anything you set your mind to!

Thank you, Dad, for reminding us of that.  I ♥ you.
